Luxor is one of the top visited cities in Egypt
for its sheer wealth of temples and tombs. Luxor takes a place instead of old
Thebes, which was the main capital of the middle and new Egyptian kingdom. The
capital was a vibrant trade center for the merchandise coming from Nuba and south
Africa and was the central culture of the entire country. Pharaohs built their hidden tombs and glorious temples
on the banks of the city. Luxor attractions are countless for having more than

You can spend a whole week discovering the
majestic Luxor attractions, but that wouldn't be enough. Luxor consists of two
banks, the west bank and the east bank. Each bank has its own popular
attractions. The west bank hosts the Valley of the Kings, which is a huge
underground necropolis for the pharaohs of the new kingdom. You will find tombs
for well-known figures kings like Tut Ankh Amun and King Ramses. Also, the west
bank covers important Luxor attractions like Hatshepsut temple, the colossi of Memnon, Dier al Bahary and more. The East bank features the popular temple
complex of Luxor and Karnak, these two massive temples were one of the seven
wonders in the middle ages, and once was connected by small sphinxes hall. The
complex is huge with very large columns covered by hieroglyphic texts.
