Aswan attractions

Aswan is the Egyptian gateway to Africa with very special unique kind of culture, the Nubian culture. It is considered a town more than a city, known for being friendly and quite far from the crowded cities and less polluted. Aswan once was the main trade center in Ancient Egypt and Africa, full with merchants and granites and limestone's that was used by pharaohs to build their temples, pyramids, obelisks, and tombs. Aswan is surrounded by islands covered with small mud brick colorful houses known as Nubian villages floating over the shimmering Nile creating such a
photogenic view by the sunset.

Aswan attractions

Aswan attractions are mainly pharaonic temples. Philae temple or the temple of Isis is one of the most popular. I was the cult center for the Egyptian god Isis and other goddesses like Hathor. Abu Simbel temple is also a masterpiece of the Egyptian architectural skills with its massive statues of king Ramses who build the temple to be a proof for his greatness.  the unfinished obelisks in 41m obelisks were built for Queen Hatshepsut and for some reason wasn’t completed and considered  to be one of Aswan attractions. Travel to Egypt company organizes tour and packages to Aswan that includes all of these attractions, in addition to the Nubian museum, elephantine island and the high dam.
